RESEARCH COOPERATIONS

Our universities are among the most important stakeholders of defense industry organizations, whose main capital is highly qualified human resources. In addition to providing trained manpower and training opportunities, our universities are increasingly contributing to the technology development activities of the industry. We have many projects that are being developed indigenously within the scope of university-industry cooperation in order for basic research to be carried out at universities and for these applications to be industrialized at ASELSAN.

Collaboration activity, which offers mutual advantages for universities and industrial organizations, contributes to the economic growth of the country by enabling the academic and industrial sectors to achieve more sustainable and successful results by working together.

Our efforts to develop national and domestic products procured from abroad continue to increase. ASELSAN has collaborated with 70 universities so far in order to acquire new technologies and improve our existing systems, and a total of 179.25 million dollars has been transferred to these cooperation projects. As of 2024, 93 active projects were carried out with 28 universities.

In addition, as an activity supporting open innovation, subject-based workshops are organized with the participation of universities, and innovative projects are implemented with the new ideas generated here.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS MANAGEMENT

Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights, which constitute an important part of the intellectual capital of companies, play a critical role in ASELSAN's transformation based on technological development and innovation. Every new technology and innovation developed adds value to ASELSAN.

ASELSAN also has various strategic goals to strengthen the protection strategy of ASELSAN's original designs against copying, to increase the number of patent and utility model applications, to improve the cost optimization of industrial property rights expenses and to commercialize inventions.
