ASELSAN, which has been successfully conducting CDP Climate Change reporting studies for 11 years since 2010, has made climate change and environmental risks, which are among the most important risks of our age, a part of its corporate risk system. ASELSAN continues to take the necessary actions to manage climate change risks and contribute to the sustainability of the planet and maintain its position among the world's important defense industry leaders in this regard..
Our Net Zero Emissions Target for 2050
In June 2021, ASELSAN decided on 'net zero emissions for 2050'.
Our work has started with the support of the Sustainability Committee established within this framework, with the contribution of CDP Leaders and the participation of the entire ASELSAN family.

Climate Change Leader
Considered one of the world's most prestigious environmental projects, CDP enables companies to improve their performance by publicizing their climate strategies. BIST-100 companies and other companies from Turkey voluntarily participate in the CDP report, which is important for brand value, investor relations activities and sustainability reports all over the world.
In 2012, ASELSAN, which was included in the CDP Turkey Program with its first reporting and is ranked among the companies with the highest score every year, continues to work to reduce its own emissions and to carry out R&D and production activities such as renewable energy systems, transportation systems, smart grid systems, etc., which can be a solution to climate change, in line with its commitment to see the environment as a trust to be passed on to future generations, with an awareness of sustainable growth. In terms of climate change, we strive both to work to reduce our own emissions and to design products that can be a solution to climate change. ASELSAN aims to be a responsible producer for a globally responsible consumption.
ASELSAN's holistic sustainable approach, which is prioritized in its operations and strategy, was presented to both investors and all stakeholders with the international success achieved through CDP Reporting. According to the 2021 results, ASELSAN continued its works on climate change by scoring above the global average.
At the Carbon Summit organized with the support of the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change, we were recognized as a "Low Carbon Hero" and awarded the "Climate Award" for our sensitivity to our climate change work.
Climate Change and Our Value Chain
We believe that climate is not an issue that we can only consider in our own production area, but an important issue that we need to address together with our entire value chain. We manage the risk of climate change, which may adversely affect not only ASELSAN but also our entire value chain, with our high technology, human assets and strong knowledge, within our structures established to ensure integrated management of risks and opportunities. During the coronavirus outbreak, where we saw the fragility of production and supply chains on a global scale, we have seen the effectiveness of ASELSAN's crisis management model in sustaining business continuity. While managing our business continuity risk with the belief of being a responsible producer for responsible consumption, we strive to improve our entire value chain. A very significant portion of our company's more than 5,000 suppliers are local companies, and our nationalization efforts are continuing rapidly. We increase the environmental activities of our stakeholders, who are our approved suppliers by being evaluated on environmental issues, through our awareness-raising activities, our criteria that we increase at regular intervals for their development and our audits within the framework of certain programs. We strengthen our stakeholders through many activities such as bringing equipment that our suppliers do not have into their production processes, including them in our corporate agreements, and enabling them to benefit from our supplier financing programs. ASELSAN is aware that embedding sustainability into the corporate culture and effectively integrating it into its operations can only be realized with the contribution of its employees and organizes trainings on climate change management for its employees and conducts awareness raising activities. In order to increase the awareness of suppliers on carbon management, information activities are carried out during supplier visits throughout the year. Within the scope of ISO 14064:2018 standard, supply chain management climate change development processes were designed and started to be implemented in 2021. As of 2022, it is aimed to include value chain management in the system in a more integrated manner, improving it every year.
