ARAL is a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) which provides the aircraft clearance over the over-flown terrain referred as height in real time.

The Radar Altimeter provides reliable and accurate reference information of terrain clearance in severe environmental conditions on fixed-wing and rotary wing platforms.
