ASELSAN
continues its breakthroughs in civilian fields in the light of Türkiye's vision
of technological independence. ARIN X-Ray Baggage Control Devices have been
added to the ASELSAN Security Systems product family.
ASELSAN X-Ray
Devices were put into use with the mass opening ceremony held by President
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Gaziantep. President Erdoğan, who examined the domestic
and national X-Ray device on site, received information about its features.
X-Ray Baggage Control Devices used for Security Purposes; It is of critical importance in ensuring the security of many facilities such as airports, ports, border gates, customs, government buildings. The newly developed devices were delivered to the General Directorate of State Airports Authority for use at Gaziantep Airport.
Another National Success Story
ASELSAN
Chairman and CEO Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün evaluated the system as "Another
national success story". Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün said, “Congratulations to
Gaziantep and our country with our ARIN X-Ray Baggage Control Devices, which
ASELSAN engineers have developed in a short time with national resources.
Wherever there is high technology, ASELSAN's national signature will continue
to be there.”
The
first delivery of ARIN X-Ray Baggage Control Devices, developed by ASELSAN and
HTR domestically in a very short period of time, 11 months, was made to the new
terminal building of Gaziantep Airport.
The contract
for the Supply and Installation of 30 Double Angle X-Ray Baggage Control
Devices was signed between ASELSAN and DHMI on 14 December 2020. 18 units of
ASELSAN ARIN X-Ray Baggage Control Devices, developed jointly by ASELSAN and
HTR, were delivered to the Gaziantep Airport new terminal building, which was
opened by President Erdoğan on December 25, 2021.
ASELSAN
ARIN X-Ray Baggage Inspection Devices can distinguish organic, inorganic and
metal substances according to their effective atomic number and display in 6
colors. The devices have automatic explosive detection, high-density zone
imaging, high-density alarm, density zoom capability (color and
black-and-white), organic scraping, automatic geometric and radiometric
correction function, and expandable fictional threat library capabilities with
camera monitoring of tunnel entrances and exits.
Within the
scope of the project, 12 ASELSAN ARIN X-Ray Baggage Control Devices will be
delivered to the new terminal building of Tokat Airport in 2022.
