ASELSAN AESA Nose Radar will provide combat aircraft with features with
superior capabilities.
The radar will elevate the F-16 platform to a 4.5 generation aircraft,
while the KAAN (Türkiye’s first fighter jet) and combat unmanned aerial
vehicles (UAVs) will advance to fifth generation and beyond platforms with
additional capabilities and low-visibility features.
The first flight of the ASELSAN AESA Aircraft Nose Radar, developed for
combat aircraft and UAVs, was carried out with the F-16 Platform. Flights will
be carried out in 2024 after integration with other jet aircraft and UAVs. AESA
will start its flights with AKINCI UAV soon.
AESA Aircraft Nose Radar has automatic recognition, multiple target
tracking, ground mapping, automatic altitude determination, under-cloud
surveillance, automatic target limitation with AI-supported algorithms,
broadband radar spectrum monitoring, directional electronic jamming and
enhanced ammunition guidance.
