ASELSAN safeguarded IDEF 2025 with its AI-powered FacilityGuard Integrated Security Solution, built entirely with national technologies. Trusted by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation (TSKGV) to meet the exhibition’s high-level security demands, the system was deployed across the venue.
With 122 cameras strategically installed on 21 poles and at eight entry points, ASELSAN’s FacilityGuard ensured comprehensive coverage of the IDEF 2025 venues generated at four different locations. All security cameras were centrally managed through ASELSAN’s Surveillance Operations Center using proprietary security management systems software, enabling real-time tracking, advanced situational awareness, and rapid response to potential threats.
Leveraging decades of homeland security experience and cutting-edge artificial intelligence, FacilityGuard not only enhanced security but also reduced entry congestion and improved visitor flow, proving its value beyond traditional surveillance solutions. By securing IDEF 2025 with advanced, scalable technologies, ASELSAN reinforced its leadership in delivering tailor-made security solutions for critical infrastructures and global events.
Türkiye has reached a critical milestone in layered air defense with the successful acceptance firing test of SİPER 1 Long-Range Air and Missile Defense System, one of the most strategic elements of the layered air defense concept Steel Dome. SİPER is set to strengthen Türkiye’s airspace protection and regional defense capabilities.
During the firing, all capabilities of the system were tested as part of the acceptance phase, including the Battalion Command Control Center, Long-Range Search Radar, Fire Control Center, Fire Control Radar, Communication Station Vehicle, Communication Relay Vehicle, Data Link, Missile Launch System, and SİPER 1 missile. The system successfully intercepted and destroyed a designated target at long range.
Equipped with a high-performance radar, advanced fire control capabilities, and an agile missile, SİPER stands out as a true game-changer on the battlefield, offering advanced information management capability, recognized air picture display, multiple simultaneous engagements, and sequential firing capabilities. Complementing these features, SİPER acts as a force multiplier on the battlefield with its Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) system, wired/wireless communication infrastructure, and ability to conduct both vertical and inclined launches.
ASELSAN has successfully completed a critical milestone in airborne platform protection with the live-fire testing of YILDIRIM 100 Directed Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) System. During the test, YILDIRIM 100 deflected infrared-guided missiles equipped with warheads, demonstrating ASELSAN’s advanced capability to protect rotary and fixed-wing aircraft from modern missile threats.
YILDIRIM 100 is designed to detect, track, and neutralize multiple incoming threats simultaneously using multi-band laser technology. The system jams and dazzles infrared missile seekers with precision, enhancing survivability in contested airspaces. Featuring a dual-turret design, integrated control unit, and seamless communication with missile warning systems, YILDIRIM 100 offers rapid, synchronized responses with low power consumption and high operational availability.
This test marks a significant step in Türkiye’s development of high-end laser-based countermeasure systems, a field mastered by only a few countries. As ASELSAN celebrates its 50th anniversary, the success of YILDIRIM 100 reaffirms the company’s commitment to indigenous innovation and strengthens its position as a leader in advanced self-protection technologies for next-generation air platforms.
ASELSAN’s new-generation electro-optical reconnaissance and targeting system ASELFLIR 600 has successfully completed live flight testing on Baykar’s AKINCI platform. The test marks a major milestone in the system’s development followed by its official unveiling at IDEF 2025, where it was showcased among ASELSAN’s flagship aerospace technologies.
Designed for High-Altitude Long-Endurance (HALE) platforms, ASELFLIR 600 features a powerful 25-inch multispectral common aperture capable of collecting greater optical energy across mid-wave infrared (MWIR), short-wave infrared (SWIR), and visible bands. This enables clearer and longer-range imaging in diverse operational conditions. Equipped with HD MWIR, full-HD day TV, SWIR, and high-definition thermal cameras, the system integrates a complete laser suite including a rangefinder, target designator, pointer, and spot tracker. These features combine to deliver unmatched situational awareness, superior target detection and recognition, and extended reach for complex ISR missions.
The successful test not only validated the system’s performance in moving target detection, tracking, and image stabilization, but also confirmed its operational maturity. ASELSAN plans to begin serial production of ASELFLIR 600 by January 2026, reinforcing its commitment to indigenous innovation and strengthening Türkiye’s position in next-generation airborne EO technologies.
Reaffirming its commitment to international cooperation, ASELSAN recently hosted two high-level visits that reflect its growing role in global security.
