ASELSAN President & CEO Ahmet Akyol participated in a series of high-level international meetings in October, strengthening partnerships across multiple regions and exploring new avenues for collaboration. From Middle-East and Africa to Asia, these engagements reflected ASELSAN’s commitment to advancing global defense cooperation and contributing to collective security.
Ahmet Akyol attended the “Will Europe Lead Its Own Defense Renaissance?” panel at the Future Investment Initiative Conference in Saudi Arabia and met with NCMS CEO Mr. Ali Al Ashban to discuss ongoing and new projects. He also visited Rwanda, where he was received by H.E. President Paul Kagame and held meetings with the Minister of Defense, MOD Permanent Secretary, Chief of Defense Staff and RDF Leadership to discuss ongoing projects and explore collaboration areas.
During the official visit of H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Oman, Akyol signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Sinan Advanced Industries CEO Mr. Majid Al Hinai. In October, he also met with H.E. Paul Mashatile, Deputy President of South Africa, in Istanbul, and joined the Defence Industry Agency delegation in Vietnam for high-level meetings with government and defense officials including the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defence, and Viettel Group representatives.
Throughout the month, ASELSAN also hosted distinguished delegations from Rwanda and Bangladesh, including Brig. Gen. Celestin Kanyamahanga, Permanent Secretary of the Rwandan Ministry of Defence, and Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force. These visits further highlighted ASELSAN’s dedication to building enduring defense relationships with friendly and allied nations around the world.
ASELSAN took part in two major international exhibitions this October, participating in Seoul ADEX 2025 in South Korea and Saudi International Rail 2025 in Riyadh, showcasing its broad spectrum of innovations across defense and railway technologies.
At Seoul ADEX 2025, ASELSAN made its debut by presenting its latest defense capabilities, ranging from air defense, electronic warfare, communications, radar, avionics, airborne payloads, and high-energy weapon systems to armored vehicle modernization. ASELSAN booth was visited by numerous international delegations, including the Minister of South Korea’s Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) and the Chief of the Korean Armed Forces.
Meanwhile, at Saudi International Rail 2025, the company introduced its integrated rail system solutions through an immersive setup featuring large interactive touchscreens and a videowall, allowing visitors to experience next-generation mobility. From building strategic partnerships in Asia to delivering smart transportation solutions in the Middle East, ASELSAN reaffirms its role as a global innovator driving transformation on the international stage.
ASELSAN’s MURAD 100-A AESA Fire Control Radar has successfully completed its first flight on Bayraktar KIZILELMA, following earlier test flights on Bayraktar AKINCI. This milestone marks a significant step in integrating advanced radar technologies into Türkiye’s new generation of unmanned aerial systems.
With integration on KIZILELMA now complete, the radar demonstrates game-changing capabilities, enabling simultaneous multi-target detection, tracking, and missile guidance. Its integration with Bayraktar AKINCI was completed in 2024, with the first flight on AKINCI in February 2025, followed by multiple test flights validating its radar functions. These successful flights confirm its adaptability to different aerial platforms and readiness for operational deployment.
Featuring AESA architecture, MURAD 100-A provides agile electronic beam steering, multi-target detection and tracking, and both air-to-air and air-to-ground engagement capabilities. Combining these engagement capabilities with beyond-visual-range missile guidance, it is a critical system for modern aerial combat, enhancing the effectiveness of both manned and unmanned aircrafts.
Türkiye’s defense ecosystem marked another milestone as ASELSAN’s TOLUN precision munition achieved successful results on two different platforms, underlining its adaptability and high-accuracy performance. Following its seamless integration on Bayraktar KIZILELMA unmanned fighter aircraft during its first live-fire test, TOLUN once again demonstrated its effectiveness in the Denizkurdu-I/2025 naval exercise from an AKINCI UCAV, accurately striking its designated target.
Developed by ASELSAN as a GPS/INS-guided wing-assisted glide bomb, TOLUN converts conventional air-delivered munitions into high-precision, long-range strike assets. Designed for both manned and unmanned aircraft, the system offers extended stand-off range, precise target engagement, and minimal collateral damage. These dual test successes have reaffirmed TOLUN’s compatibility across next-generation aerial platforms, highlighting its role in enhancing Türkiye’s indigenous strike capabilities.
Proven in platforms like KIZILELMA and AKINCI, TOLUN showcases Türkiye’s engineering excellence and operational vision. Its expanding use underscores the nation’s drive for a self-reliant defense ecosystem with versatile, export-ready solutions for complex air and maritime missions.
ASELSAN’s advanced fire support and control technologies were successfully demonstrated during a live-fire exercise conducted by the Army of North Macedonia. The exercise showcased the integration of ASELSAN’s ADOP 300-T Fire Support Command and Control System and the VOLKAN 230/105 BORAN Howitzer Fire Control System, highlighting their operational effectiveness and interoperability.
Throughout the exercise, target detection, fire coordination, and firing command calculations were carried out digitally through ASELSAN’s tactical command and control network. This digital integration ensured precise coordination between command units and firing elements, enhancing situational awareness and response time on the battlefield.
The event was attended by North Macedonia’s Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski, Chief of the General Staff Major General Sasko Lafçiski, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Major General Azim Nuredin, and Türkiye’s Ambassador to Skopje Fatih Ulusoy. ASELSAN was represented by Deputy General Manager and Head of Defense System Technologies Sector, Zekeriyya Şahin, underscoring the company’s strong cooperation and growing presence in the region.
Leading international defense journalists visited ASELSAN’s Gölbaşı Technology Base for an exclusive look at the company’s advanced defense and technology capabilities. The delegation included representatives from different defense media outlets, and was hosted by ASELSAN President & CEO Ahmet Akyol, Deputy General Manager Özgür Taylan Sarı and regional marketing directors.
Participants of the press tour represented renowned defense media outlets from all around the world, including Shephard, Janes, EDR, Defense News, Army Recognition, Breaking Defense, GBP, AviationWeek, Defense Arabia, and Infodefensa. During the tour, journalists attended several strategic presentations on the company’s corporate vision, the multi-layered Steel Dome air defense concept, and ASELSAN’s payload solutions, followed by an interactive Q&A session with CEO Ahmet Akyol.
Media representatives also toured key production and R&D facilities of ASELSAN, offering participants a firsthand view of ASELSAN’s cutting-edge technologies and their growing impact on international markets.
ASELSAN achieved three significant export milestones, marking
continued growth in international defense collaborations. The company completed
CENK 200-N naval platform radar’s first delivery to the Indonesian Navy
andcompleted the first delivery of the ARSUS 100 Reconnaissance and
Surveillance System to a NATO member country. A communication system solution
built with ARTCom, ACrypt, and ARTSoft product families was also delivered to a
country in Middle East-Africa region.
CENK 200-N, a four-dimensional naval search radar,
successfully passed sea acceptance and live-fire tests before delivery.
Production, integration, and verification activities took place at a
Jakarta-based shipyard, demonstrating ASELSAN’s ability to maintain seamless
cooperation across continents despite challenging conditions. Indonesia, one of
the largest markets for naval radar exports, will receive multiple CENK systems
under ongoing agreements. The radar has already proven its operational
excellence within the Turkish Naval Forces and is now set to serve aboard
Indonesian Navy vessels.
ASELSAN also delivered ARSUS 100 Reconnaissance
and Surveillance System to Poland, marking its first deployment within NATO.
Integrated onto AMZ KUTNO vehicles, the system offers high-resolution surveillance,
day-night operation capability, moving target tracking, and long-range
communications. Its robust design enables effective performance in
reconnaissance missions, border security, and critical infrastructure
protection. Deliveries under this contract will continue through 2026 and 2027.
Meanwhile, through the delivery of communication systems to its customer in the
Middle East-Africa region, ASELSAN is establishing a cyber-resilient Integrated
Mission Command Network architecture in that country.
