KGK 83 is a wing assisted guidance kit which converts existing 1000 lb. MK-83 unguided free-fall bombs into long range and high-precision air-to-ground “smart” weapons. Guidance kit has own control system which contains own inertial navigational system and global positioning system with anti-jamming GPS antenna. KGK 83 corrects the trajectory of the bomb in all weather conditions, thereby increasing the precision and accuracy of the hit, reducing the circular probable error regardless of the range and preventing the exposure of the aircraft to the effect of enemy anti-aircraft defences.
